Paint a sunset silhouette design on a ceramic bowl. Students will draw their design and learn how to transfer it onto the bisque fired bowl, then paint with underglaze. Through this process they'll have fun while learning the fundamentals of planning, design and drawing to assist them in finishing a functional piece of pottery.
Note that these bowls have already been made and bisque-fired in the kiln. Students will not make the bowl, but paint their design onto it only. They will then be glaze fired after this workshop.
What will students take home?
A fired ceramic bowl ready to collect about 2 weeks after the holidays.
