Decorate your space with one of these beautiful handmade Sgraffito Plates!
In this three-hour session, you will paint underglazes on pre-made leather-hard greenware plate and carve through to the clay to create the sgraffito effect/design. Throughout this hands-on experience, you will be guided by your ceramic teacher Tanya to explore designs and techniques to create texture and pattern.
What will students take home?.
A glaze fired ceramic plate ready for you to use at home.
The artworks made in this class will be fired in our kiln so kids will not take their artwork home on the day. The work needs to dry out before bisque firing, we then glaze the work and fire again in our kiln. We will send you an email notifying you when to collect your artwork so keep an eye on your inbox. Please allow about 3 weeks until they are ready to collect.
